Our values and our methodological approach

Hespánica was founded with the goal of offering an online space dedicated to teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

In a world where internet has penetrated every sphere of society, it was peculiar the lack of true spaces dedicated to the study of Spanish online, built and developed by professionals of education.

Technological resources allow us to teach a language, offering the student the advantage of being able to learn it comfortably. Not everybody has enough time to come near a language center. Many, don´t even have one close to home or work.

The main idea behind Hespánica is offering high-quality Spanish programs, with highly-qualified instructors, making use of technological resources available. Hespánica solves space limitations, while keeping professional excellence. At Hespánica we eliminated the classroom as we know it, not the instructors. We substituted the space, not the people.

We think that the most important thing when studying a foreign language is being able to communicate with others using that language. For that reason, we believe that every aspect of that tongue (grammar, structures, vocabulary, etcetera) are subordinated to this goal of communication.

Many websites offer the possibility of learning a foreign language individually, where the individual tries to study alone, doing isolated activities, listening to audio clips and repeating short sentences alone. In the best situations the student has a software product, but he or she always studies alone. At Hespánica, we believe that the instructor is very important, is irreplaceable. The instructor is the one who correct the mistake. How can one be sure of following the right path, of making real progress, if there is no one there to say that? How can one not get lost in the process of learning without guidance? That is why, when studying at Hespánica, there will always be someone available, a professional, a help to learning authentic Spanish.
